The 12th International Sons of the Desert Convention, dubbed Sea-Tac 2000, will soon be upon us. This biennial gathering of the Laurel & Hardy appreciation society will take place at the Tacoma Sheraton Hotel & Convention Centre, July 20-23, 2000 in Tacoma, Washington. Highlights include: The Pick A Star Screen Test, The Laurel & Hardly Cinema and The Hal Roach All Stars Cinema, two dealers' rooms, seminars, celebrities, costume banquets and an authentic vaudeville show presented at the Pantages Theatre where Stan Laurel performed in 1919 and again in 1921.

One highlight of Sea-Tac 2000 will be the recreations of studio sets seen in the films of Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy. Studios with the construction of sets and props from such Laurel & Hardy films as Putting Pants on Philip, Below Zero, The Music Box, Tit for Tat and Two Tars.
