Thank you for your excellent entries. As usual, it was difficult to choose only 3 winners from such varied and imaginative entries. So, here are the winners of a "LAUREL & HARDY CLASSICS" video each: |

Vinny Mainolfi, Stanwick, UK Stan and Ollie decide that they are going to take the long way round and avoid the steps. As they start to aproach the hill, they find that there are roadworks in the way which consists of barriers, holes, piles of sand, workmen huts etc. After about an hour of clever work, they get passed each obstacle to find that the road comes to an abrupt end because it hasn't been finished yet! They then have to spend another hour going back the way they came and then back to the steps again! Doris Evans, Brierley Hill, UK When nearing the top of the stairs our boys find a beer barrel in the way. They try to lift it but find it very heavy. (Full of beer). Ollie decides that they can't roll it back down as it would break causing flooding of the steps. Stan thinks it a good idea to drink as much as possible to make the barrel lighter. Although most of the beer seeps away the boys only need a few drops to make them feel very drunk. Needless to say they make the stairs one step up and two steps back. Lisa Wilson, Carmarthenshire, UK An attractive young lady descends steps.Stan takes his hat off to greet her and says "Good morning mam".Obviously he has to let go of piano to do this. Boom! Boom! Boom!.....Piano and Ollie end up at foot of steps reeling in anger as Stan is still chatting to lady oblivious to what's just happened to Ollie. |
