Their Purple Moment - Location Shooting

Though it lasts literally less than two seconds on screen, there is one curious tracking shot of Patsy O'Byrne leading the wives as they march through the streets to converge on The Pink Pub. This scene appears to have been shot on the perimeter of the University of Southern California campus near downtown Los Angeles, way east of Culver City and Hal Roach Studios. THE KEATON CHRONICLE of The International Buster Keaton Society has identified the triangle-shaped USC College of Dentistry Building on Exposition Boulevard as the location for key chase scenes in both COPS (1922) and SEVEN CHANCES (1925). Although much further away here, it looks to be the same sight used for the short scene in THEIR PURPLE MOMENT."
