The local Ulverston (birth place of Stan) carnival is held every year. This year it was watched by around 9000 people according to the local evening mail. The actual parade starts at 13.00 and this year started from the Bird in the Hand pub and made its way through the streets of Ulverston ending at Ford park. A total of 96 entries took part including the Sons of the Desert entry.
