Charlie Hall was pals with one of the greatest directors in movie history, just then switching from cameraman to director when piloting this wonderful Boy Friends series comedy, AIR TIGHT (1931). Stevens continued using Hall in most of the post-Roach feature films he made up until service in World War II. Pictured here with Hall -- in a showcase role where he "takes it big" according to the amended, final shooting script -- are the adorable Our Gang grad, Mary Kornman, and posing on the glider, one of W.C. Fields' favorite character actors, Grady Sutton.
